How easy is the vidaXL Rectangular Raised Bed to assemble ?
Firstly you should be awre that the raised bed does not come pre assembled. There is some work to do.
The raised bed comes as a 5 piece flat pack with and fiing screws . With the The side and bottom panels come pre assembled which certainly helps.
Unfortunately there are no predrilled holes to assemble the planter so you will need a few tools such as a screwdriver and a drill to form the holes., a 3.5mm drill bit and a phillips driver bit and some patience.
Place the bottom on top of the assembled sides and square it up so it looks right. It needs to be assembled on a flat surface with space to get to each side and edge.
You now need to drill through the end of each batton in to the center of the joining batton . Thats 4 screws for each edge, 8 per side and 4 screws for the bottom to fix it to the sides.
You will neeed to check it is still square for the first few screws. I put a screw in each corner and 2 in the bottom to hold it then started on diagonal corners, I assembled it myself, it would be much easier wih two.
This raised bed planter does not come with a liner but you can get a number of different sized liners to suit the size of the inner of the planter box.
Liner for Large Veg Trough Raised Bed Planter (160cm x 290cm)
his sheet of landscape fabric is the perfect liner for the larger trough type planter. Porous enough to allow excess water to drain through, the liner is tough enough to stop soil escaping.
Whilst the perfect match for the large veg trough, this liner measures a generous 160cm x 290cm and can easily be cut to a smaller size, perfect for lining alternative raised beds, planters, and pots.
